Lonny was born and raised in the Ivanhoe, Minnesota area. After graduation he attended Mankato Technical College then after four years in the Air Force he attended Pipestone Technical College, for meat cutting.
Lonny owned his own business for years, working as a meat cutter. Later he worked as a store manager for six years in Winona, Minnesota. After 29 years in Winona he moved back to southwestern Minnesota to work as the store manager for County Fair Food Store.
Lonny says the reason he's been in the business for so long is his love for helping people.
